Threaten the survival of the globally endangered White-headed Duck Oxyura leucocephala with which it hybridises. UK has 95% of feral Ruddy Ducks in Europe	Imported into the UK from North America as part of wildfowl collections Migration
Management
Prevention Prevent escapes and do not introduce into the wild. Physical Control Shooting at traditional winter gathering sites and trapping of females at the nest and egg oiling have proved effective methods in reducing population sizes. Chemical Control None Biological Control None.
